As we step into the new year, we wanted to pause for a moment. Not to overthink things. Just to look back at what 2025 brought, say thank you and share a glimpse of what’s coming next.

It was a full-on year here at Enaid Accountancy. The good kind of busy. The kind that comes from working alongside charities and third sector organisations doing important work, often under pressure themselves. If anything summed up 2025, it was momentum.

A Year of Solid Progress (and a Full Inbox)

Last year reminded us why we do what we do. We worked with long-standing clients and welcomed new ones. We supported organisations through audits, reporting deadlines, funding requirements, governance questions and the everyday realities of running a charity.

There were moments of calm. There were moments of organised chaos. There were also plenty of “quick questions” that turned into proper conversations. That’s all part of it.

What mattered most was this: the work stayed practical, human and focused on what you actually needed. No fluff. No unnecessary jargon. Just clear advice and steady support when things got busy.

Supporting the Sector Through Change

The third sector didn’t slow down in 2025 and neither did the expectations placed on it. Ongoing funding pressures, tighter scrutiny and growing responsibility continued to land on already-stretched teams.

Much of our role was helping clients make sense of change without it feeling overwhelming. Sometimes that meant stepping back and simplifying. Sometimes it meant getting into the details. Often, it meant being a sounding board as much as an accountant.

That client-first approach continues to shape how we work and how we grow.

Behind the Scenes at Enaid

From the outside, it may have looked like business as usual. Behind the scenes, 2025 was a year of learning and refining how we operate as a team.

We spent time reviewing how we work, where things could run more smoothly and what needs to change as Enaid continues to grow. That reflection feeds directly into what’s coming next.

We start the year busy, focused and quietly confident. The good kind of tired that comes from knowing the work matters and the foundations are strong.

Looking Ahead to 2026: What’s Changing

As we settle into 2026, it feels right to share a few things we’re working towards.

First, systems. Over the coming months, we’ll be introducing new systems to streamline how you interact with us. Fewer back-and-forth emails. Clearer processes. Smoother communication. The aim is simple: save you time and make working with Enaid even easier.

Second, people. We’re planning to grow the team, including introducing an Office Manager role. This will bring more structure behind the scenes and more consistency for clients as the year progresses.

Third, space and learning. We’ve got plans around our premises and new training offerings that we’re genuinely excited about. Nothing to announce just yet, but think practical sessions, shared learning and more ways to support the sector beyond the numbers.

And one more thing, as the year gets underway. January marks Enaid Accountancy’s 10-year birthday. Ten years of working with charities and third sector organisations, ten years of conversations, challenges, deadlines and progress. It’s a milestone we’re proud of as we move into the next chapter.

Thank You for Being Part of It

January often starts fast and we know inboxes fill up quickly. So if you’re reading this between meetings, reports, or your first deadlines of the year, thank you.

Thank you for trusting us. Thank you for the conversations, the questions and the honesty about what’s working and what isn’t. It genuinely shapes how we do our job.

As the year gets underway, we’re here when you need us. If you’re planning ahead and want to talk about what 2026 looks like for your organisation, get in touch when it suits you. Otherwise, keep an eye out. There’s more to come.

From all of us at Enaid, we wish you a steady start to the year and look forward to working with you in the months ahead.
